Each of the courses belong to one of the 8 schools. These include Architecture and Planning, Engineering, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Science, Sloan School of Management, Special Programs, Whitaker College of Health Sciences and Technology, and ROTC. The School of Engineering is the largest of these both overall and with respect to undergraduates.
The School of Architecture and Planning has the highest per-capita environmental subject offering, with 8.7% of its classes environmentally relevant. They are followed by the School of Engineering with 5.9% relevant. No curriculum was offered ROTC, which did not come as a surprise. What was shocking to find was that the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Science, offered more than twice the amount of courses per capita than the School of Science. On further analysis, we discovered that the Institute offers more Policy and Social related courses than classes of hard science with environmental themes.
