COMPOSTING

The University of Vermont. All campus dining halls at UVM are involved in "pre-consumer" composting, and three of these venues participate in "post-consumer" composting.

Cornell University-A Case Study. Instituted in 1997, Cornell's composting program diverts an estimated 700 tons of food scraps from landfills annually.
